Things that made me happy this morning:

• What love means to a 4-8 year old contains some wonderful quotes
• Windows 3.11 in DHTML – gee all the pain and suffering comes back to me now.
• What everybody needs to know about SVG right now is a good primer on open, XML based vector goodness.
• Home decor for absolute geeks has a lot of things full of win
• Every time I travel, I see kids with Trunkis in London – I want one in my size!
• Tomorrow is a Mozilla Labs Meetup in Mountain view and tonight Douglas Crockford is talking about the history of JavaScript – I’ll be at both.
• Sergey Brin’s homepage at Stanford does not only feature an awesome image applet – no, it also shows that he stayed in the Gates building :)
• Today I will earn my Coffee drinking badge

To my shame I have to say that I hadn’t had time to give Mozilla’s code editor in the cloud Bespin much of an, err, spin yet.

Bespin is built by fellow Ajaxians Dion Almaer and Ben Galbraith and uses all fancy new JavaScript and Canvas tricks to make editing files in a browser environment run as smoothly as possible. Fans of TextMate should have a look.
Both will come to London on Tuesday, the 10th of March to give a detailed talk about Bespin and what else is brewing in the Mozilla Developer Tools Group. The venue is not quite clear yet but I heard it’ll be in North London. To join the fun, just RSVP for the event at upcoming.

I’ll be freshly back from the US so I will be tired while I am there, but it still should be good fun.

Things that made me happy this morning:

• Working for Lego is every kid’s dream. If you look at their ‘business cards’ you know why
• Matt Snider has information about an Apache Ant script to consolidate CSS and JavaScript in a build process – seems to be loosely connected with the work Julien Lecomte has done on the same subject
• When Mitch Haile builds his own office he doesn’t do things half-way. His office setup is impressive and bordering on the mental.
• Jane Finette of Mozilla released their community marketing guide
• The Nosh brothers have great etiquette advice what to do when someone dies during your dinner
• shlomo has a sobering thought about our lives being both empowering and pitiful

Things that made me happy this morning (evening, afternoon? what do I know, jetlagged and confused):

• The Videos of Paris Web talks are now available – most of them in French, but two in English. In any case awesome content, check them out! Amazing “bang for your buck” conference, that one.
• Opera’s “Mother” Henny Swan talks about the state of the accessible web 2008
• One of the cooler thinks Henny talks about is Project:Possibility, an Open Source initiative to build accessible software. Check out the awesome favicon on that one! 5.1/4” floppy with wheelchair FTW!
• While “us Brits” (well, I can play now, can’t I?) had a good insight into who represents us in parliament via they work for you for quite a while now, the New York Times hackers brought the same convenience to the unwashed masses via Represent. I love the clear look of it!
• I’ve been to my first Mozilla Labs Meetup and it was great – especially after the Manhattan mixed by Brendan Eich…
• To round things up, I am very happy that someone set a record for Most Images Of Fish Sandwiches Looked At In One Minute so I don’t have to.
