It is Towel Day! Carry your geek with pride.

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010 at 1:28 pm

Today is towel day in memory of the great Douglas Adams. I am doing my bit by carrying my towel:

Towel Day 2010 by you.

The Google offices in London proudly sport Douglas Adams’ bathtub full of towels in their lobby today:

In case you don’t know who Douglas Adams is or what the Towel is about hand back your geek card on the way out and get yourself a copy of The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy right now.

If you still wonder about the awesome that is Douglas Adams, I point you to his last ever public talk on endangered animals (and to him explaining the 42 reference on the newsgroup fan group himself:

Hoopy!
