TTMMHTM: Plane rescue, useless super powers, clipboard hack
Friday, January 16th, 2009 at 10:01 amThings that made me happy this morning:
- A plane crash-landing safely and being tracked online – me being on the road (in the air) all the time it is cool to see that there are smart pilots who do the right thing
- Microsoft Songsmith’s version of The Police’s Roxanne – Somehow Sting with rastas looks wrong in my head.
- A blog about useless super powers – I’ve always wondered why the bad guys in X-Men are actually much cooler in terms of what they can do, I guess it all boils down to guidance.
- Zero Clipboard is a pretty nifty JavaScript solution to allow for copying content to the clipboard – compatible with Flash 10. The trick is to cover a DOM element with a transparent Flash movie – much like a clickjacking for good.
- In case you have a terrible client fax them this invoice, either they’ll ditch you, or you’ll be flush with money. It is a win-win situation.
- The German Basic Thinking blog (kinda TechCrunch, really) was sold for 46,902.00 Euros on ebay – this is just incredible. OK, who wants to buy this one? £50k and you can get it!
- A cross stitch map of Zelda – four months in the making always makes me remember that there are people out there that are geekier than me!
- The podcast of ‘YUI for control freaks’ – my talk at The Ajax Experience is available – you have to sign up to see it though and there doesn’t seem to be a download for the iPod.
