Puma.com putting a paper catalogue online

Thursday, May 19th, 2005 at 10:43 am

I just stumbled upon Puma’s online catalogue which is a pretty impressive piece of Flash development. I have seen the script of that book before, but they took it to another level.

All the designers I sent it to got nuts about it, but I am wondering:

  • What do you do when your computer is slow
  • What if you don’t have a mouse?
  • How can you find a certain product?

It is once again a nice branding idea, but there is just no way you can move a tactile experience like flicking through a catalogue online.

Is it just me or does the tiled floor give some impression of someone reading a dirty magazine on the toilet before engaging in other activities?
